16.1 Permission Dashboard

The Permission Dashboard provides users with a clear overview of all available permissions within the system. It is designed to help users understand the purpose of each permission and request access as needed.

  • Permission Name: The title or name of the permission.

  • Description: A brief explanation of what the permission allows the user to do.

  • Status:

    • Active – Permission is currently granted to the user.

    • Inactive – Permission is not yet granted or has been revoked.

  • Action:

    • Options may include Request Access or View Details, depending on the user’s current permission state.

16.2 Permission Categories

Permissions are grouped into three main categories for easier management and visibility:

  • User Management
    Includes permissions related to managing users, such as:

    • Creating, editing, or deleting user accounts

    • Viewing user lists and activity

    • Assigning roles to users

  • File Management
    Covers permissions for working with files and folders, including:

    • Uploading and downloading files

    • Managing shared files

    • Viewing file logs or history

  • Role Management
    Deals with the management of roles and access levels, such as:

    • Creating or editing roles

    • Assigning permissions to roles

    • Managing role-based access control (RBAC)

The Permission Dashboard allows users to:

  • View all available permissions in one place

  • Understand the function and scope of each permission

  • Request or manage access based on their responsibilities

  • Promote transparency and user autonomy while maintaining security and control
