5.3 Personalized Notifications
5.3.1 FileNotification (Folder) Permission SettingsSound
Document managers in Kedao Cloud can set file or folder permissions using two methods:
Upon entering the permission settings panel, you will encounter two sections: "Specified User Permissions" and "Default Permissions". Notably, "Specified User Permissions" have a higher priority than "Default Permissions.
Specified User Permissions
These permissions allow you to grant special access to designated users or groups. By clicking "Add User" and selecting the desired user(s) or group(s), you can specify the operational permissions for these entities. The rules for handling multiple selections during permission assignments are as follows:
Person-CenteredSound: PrincipleSelect from available tones (e.g., Default Sound – Charms).
5.3.2 Mute for Some Hours:
If
- Temporarily silence all notifications for a
user is selected and exists in multiple chosen departments,number of hours.
- Takes effect after dashboard reload.
5.3.3 Types of Notifications
- In-app Notifications: Toggle to enable or disable alerts within the
specifiedapp user's permissions are applied.interface.
GeneralEmail PrincipleNotifications:: When a user is present in multiple selected departments, the maximum permission across all departments is used.
In essence, when a user is selected multiple times under "Specified User Permissions," individual-specific permissions override others, but general permissions take precedence when no individual is specified.

"Keep Original Permissions": All users, except those specified, will inherit the parent file or folder's permissions by default.
"Set Permissions": You can define permissions for all users, excluding the current administrator and specified users/groups. If no specific users or groups are designated, this setting will applyToggle to everyonereceive exceptreal-time the current administrator.
In summary, the priority order is: Designated Users > Departmental Users (where a user holds the highest authority across multiple departments) > Other Users.
Note: Be cautious when granting administrator rights. Multiple administrators have equal authority, meaning the original administrator could be downgraded or even removed by a newly assigned administrator.
5.3.2 Internal Collaborative Sharing Permissions
Internal collaborative sharing caters to the needs of users for external collaboration on personal documents and inter-departmental cooperation.
